Auxiliary Equipment Signal Checklist
Use this signal checklist when a vertical injection molding machine works with robots, loaders, dryers, temperature units, or other auxiliary equipment.

Many vertical injection molding projects use auxiliary equipment such as robots, loaders, dryers, mold temperature units, conveyors, or vision checks. When the main machine waits or stops, the cause may be outside the machine itself.
This checklist helps teams collect signal-related information before contacting support. It does not provide wiring instructions.
Equipment to Identify
List every connected device that affects the cycle:
- Robot or take-out device.
- Insert loading aid or fixture.
- Conveyor or part handling device.
- Dryer, loader, or material feed equipment.
- Mold temperature controller.
- Vision, sensor, or checking station.
- Safety gate, cell door, or external guarding signal.
Record equipment brand, model if available, and how it connects to the production sequence.
Signal Questions to Answer
Before support review, clarify:
- Which device gives the ready signal?
- Which device waits for the machine signal?
- At which cycle step does the machine stop or wait?
- Does the issue appear in manual, semi-automatic, or automatic mode?
- Does the issue appear after a mold change, robot program change, cable reconnection, or maintenance activity?
- Is there an alarm on the auxiliary equipment screen?
The answer does not need to be highly technical. A simple sequence description is useful.
What to Record
Send controller screenshots, auxiliary equipment screen photos, and a short safe video if the waiting step is visible. Include the program name used on the machine and the program name used on the robot or auxiliary unit if applicable.
If the issue appears only when the robot or auxiliary unit is connected, state that clearly.
Safety Boundary
Do not open guarded areas or place people inside the automation cell to test signals. Safety devices must remain active during support observation. Signal checks that involve wiring, cabinet access, or protected areas should be handled by qualified personnel.
