Daily Machine Inspection Checklist
Use this daily inspection checklist to observe machine area condition, guards, hydraulic signs, heaters, cables, table movement, and support records before production.

A daily inspection helps production teams notice visible changes before they become production interruptions. It is not a replacement for the machine manual or scheduled maintenance plan. It is a simple routine for operators, shift leaders, and maintenance teams to share the same machine condition record.
Use it before production starts, after long downtime, and when a shift takes over a running machine.
Work Area and Machine Condition
Check the area around the machine before the first cycle:
- No loose tools, rejected parts, inserts, cables, packaging, or unrelated items in the machine area.
- Mold area and table area are clear before startup.
- Guards, doors, light curtains, and emergency stop devices are in normal visible condition.
- The floor around the machine is dry and free from visible oil or water.
- Air, water, hydraulic, and electrical connections look normal from outside protected areas.
Do not reach into moving or guarded areas to inspect.
Visible Machine Checks
Observe:
- Abnormal sound during manual movement or first cycle.
- Slow or uneven movement compared with the known stable run.
- Visible oil marks, loose hoses, damaged cable sleeves, or unsupported cable movement.
- Heater zone display warnings or unusual temperature behavior.
- Table, slide, or rotary movement that does not match the expected sequence.
If something appears abnormal, stop and record the condition before continuing.
Production Record
Daily inspection becomes more useful when paired with production notes:
- Machine model and shift.
- Mold, product, and material.
- Program name.
- Operator and inspector.
- Any abnormal sound, leakage sign, alarm, or part defect.
- Photos attached if safe.
When the same small issue appears over several days, the record helps maintenance decide whether a deeper review is needed.
